Location and Parking Information:
Our pool is located at: 10740 Trappers Creek Rd
Directions are as follows:
South on Six Forks, left on Durant, Left on Brassfield, Right on Honeycutt, Right on Trappers Creek, pool is on the left.
South on Falls of Neuse take a right on Raven Ridge, Left On Brassfield. At stop sign take right to proceed on Brassfield. At 4 way stop take left onto Honeycutt, right onto Trappers Creek, pool is on your left.
Parking: We reserve our pool parking lot for the visiting team.
Facility:
Visitors are encouraged to bring a folding chair and/or a tent to our home meets. Your families can set up on the right side of the pool. We have a 6 lane 25 Yard pool and have lights so we can swim past dusk.
Concessions: We offer concessions where swimmers and families will be able to purchase Chick Fil A Sandwiches, Pizza, Chips, baked goods, fruit, drinks and other snacks. Cash and venmo only. We also have a 50/50 raffle- winner chosen between Breast stroke and Butterfly.
Meet Management: We previously used Swimmingly and loaded all data live on deck through Meet Maestro. However, since I think we may have been the last in TSA to use that system we moved to stopwatches last year as the cost for a timing system was prohibitive to our very small team.
We will be loading times from timer sheets into Meet Maestro on deck. If you have a volunteer who can bring a computer, then you are welcome to load times, as well. We are a very small team and usually only have enough volunteers to have one timer in each lane. If you want to have 2 timers in each lane please let me know. We do use OOF as a backup for timers.
Meet seeding timeline that works for our team is: Monday evening, if you need a different timeframe please contact me as we can be flexible. (I can even do Tuesday morning- just let me know what works best for you all.)
I will print out the OOF report, all timer sheets and two Master Heat Sheets; one for your Clerk of Course and one for ours. Any other Heat sheets your team requires you will need to bring to the meet.
We will provide ribbons, but due to printing the labels and using our volunteers where needed to run the meet we will deliver them to you on Wednesday morning- please let me know if this is an issue.
Warmups:
As the host team, we will warm up from 5:00 to 5:30. The pool will be available for your team to warm up from 5:30 to 6:00.
Pre-Meet Briefing:
There will be a pre-meet briefing promptly at 5:45 pm on the pool deck. Kindly have all people officiating at the meet and yourselves in attendance at that time.
Lastly- we do have a Coaches Relay at the end of the meet before announcing the score. You may select all Coaches but we have each Coach select 3 younger swimmers who may not be selected for relay events or who have shown examples of great sportmanship/team spirit as a reward and acknowledgement. However you determine your relay teams, if you choose to participate, is up to you all :)
***** Also, since this is our last home meet we will be holding a Cupcake Race for the 6 and unders- they must swim 25 yards (can be helped) and once they get to the far end of the pool they will receive a cupcake. Please let me know the approximate number of 6 and Unders you think will be swimming so that we can plan to have enough for all. Also, if there are any dietary restrictions please let me know so that we can accommodate them.
We do not have any graduating seniors to recognize this year.
